Parents and Students,

In support of the Rockdale County Public Schools' vision to offer expanded learning options, Conyers Middle School has joined schools countywide in offering a Specialty Choice option.

The Center for Technology and Engineering will offer a three year program for middle school students with advanced abilities and outcomes in science, technology, arts, engineering, and mathematics.

Civil Air Patrol Cadet Squadron gets National Charter

A new Civil Air Patrol Squadron of 73 members was publicly chartered this past Saturday at Conyers Middle School, Center for Technology and Engineering.  Principal Allison Barbour hosted the ceremony with Major David Hamby, GA-815 Squadron Commander.  David Hamby is also an instructor at CMS in the Engineering and Technology Center with a 21 year military career in the United States Air Force.  In addition to the chartering ceremony, seven cadets and two adults received awards and promotions after only five months of being formed.

Civil Air Patrol is an Auxiliary unit to the United States Air Force’s Total Force.  The organization has over 61,000 members worldwide and has three missions; Cadet Programs,Emergency Services and Aerospace Education.
