Principal's Greeting
Welcome to Conyers Middle School, the "Premier Middle School Experience"!
Greetings CMS Families and Community Stakeholders,
I am
Fannetta Gooden, and I am pleased and delighted that I have been entrusted to
serve as the new principal for Conyers Middle School. This marks my 15th
year as a school leader and prior to becoming principal, I served as an
assistant principal here at Conyers Middle School and last year at Davis Middle
School. This year, I will begin my 34th year as an educator and the
majority of those years were spent in the classroom, which demonstrates my love
for teaching! As a language arts teacher,
I recognized that many students struggled in reading which prompted me to
obtain my reading endorsement, thus strengthening my ability to recognize and
support students with reading deficiencies. My educational background include a
Bachelor of Arts in English from Talladega College, a Master in Education Administration
from Grand Canyon University, and a Specialist in Educational Leadership from
the University of West Georgia.
I am a wife
of 34 years and a mother of three adult children and most recently I became a
grandmother. I can truly say my family
is my greatest source of encouragement and support!
I look
forward to leading CMS as we Set the bar for EXCELlence as I am confident, we will
have an exceptional year filled with adventure and growth!
